Thank you for considering a commission! These terms are intended to ensure a clear, fair, and positive experience for both of us. By submitting your payment, you are confirming you have read and agreed to the arrangements below.
~Clear and timely communication is essential.
~Clients are expected to respond to updates (sketch approvals, general questions, etc.) within a reasonable timeframe.
~If the commissions are accepted, and I don’t have a payment or any communication within one week, the commission will be cancelled.
~A Trello will be available to see all commission progress.
~All payments are processed in USD via PayPal invoice (payment protection offered).
~Payment is 100% upfront, but payments of 50/50 are available under certain circumstances.
~Work will not begin until the initial payment has been received.
~Final files will not be delivered until full payment is completed.
~Prices are based on complexity, detail, and usage.
~Additional charges may apply for:
~Rush deadlines
~Major revisions beyond those included
~Complex designs or backgrounds
~Commercial usage rights
~Any extra fees will always be discussed and approved before proceeding.
Typical workflow includes:
1.) Character and design confirmations (description)
2.) Draft sketch work-through
3.) Sketch approval (image)
4.) Line art approval (image)
5.) Full color work approval (if requested)
6.) Shading and rendering
7.) Customer receives full resolution product (300dpi)
~Major progress updates will always be available on Trello.
~Feel free to ask questions and for progress updates at any point in the process!
~Products will be finalized within 2 weeks, depending on workload and complexity.
~This timeframe is not a guarantee, but in the case of any emergency I will keep you informed of delays.
~Rush orders may be accepted for an additional fee.
~A total of three rounds of revisions are included during the sketch or early stages.
~If an integral piece of the referenced character/design is missed during the sketch process, these revisions will not count toward the allotted rounds of revisions.
~Revisions that I deem overtly nitpicky will not be accepted.
~Additional or major revisions may incur extra charges.
~Major changes requested after line art approval may be declined or billed accordingly.
~Providing clear communication during the character and design confirmation phase will help minimize confusion around design.
~Provide clear references and descriptions at the start of the commission.
~Ensure you have the rights or permissions to use any reference material submitted.
~Do not send incomplete or contradictory instructions without expecting possible extra charges.
~Unless otherwise agreed, I reserve the right to post the finished work and process images.
~If you prefer the artwork to remain private please request this in advance.
~If the piece has not been started, a full refund is available upon request.
~After the work has started, refunds are generally not available.
~If I am unable to complete the commission, a full refund will be issued.
~A refund will be issued if a client is:
~Difficult
~Disrespectful
~Not communicating properly
~Not responding in a timely manner
Chargebacks:
~Filing a chargeback without prior communication is considered a breach of agreement.
~In such cases, all usage rights are revoked and future commissions will be refused.
~Upon completion, you will receive a high-resolution file (300 dpi in JPEG format unless otherwise requested).
~I retain full copyright ownership of all artwork.
~I may use the artwork for:
~Portfolio display
~Social media promotion
~Prints, publications, or artbooks
~Process videos or tutorials
You are allowed to use this piece as:
~Artwork online (credit me)
~A personal display or profile
~A print for personal use
You not allowed to use this piece in the following ways:
~Claiming the artwork as your own
~Removing signatures or watermarks
~Editing, altering, or tracing the artwork without credit for design and permission
~Using the artwork in AI training datasets or related technologies
Commercial Use
~Any commercial usage (merchandise, branding, resale, etc.) requires a separate agreement and fee.
~Commissioning with me is automatically agreeing to these terms of service.
~I reserve the right to decline any commission request for any reason.
~Work will be completed in my artistic style; I do not replicate another individual’s artistic style, but will have a variety of styles available.
~By purchasing a commission, you confirm that:
~You have read and agreed to these terms of service.
~You understand and agree with the information in all categories listed above
~You will respect the artist’s work and the policies set forth above.
